KCK public, we need to pay close attention to our school board right now:  Attend meetings, watch on YouTube, write to the board members. Especially support Dr Strickland as interim superintendent. Damage is already done, and it’s up to us to contain the problem and start rebuilding. 
Consult the Center for Public Education or your own common sense. “Effective school boards have a collaborative relationship with staff and the community and establish a strong communications structure to inform and engage both internal and external stakeholders in setting and achieving district goals.”  
​Dr.Winn couldn’t even work with an interim superintendent for 1 month without working behind almost all of the other board members to set a meeting agenda then forcing the interim to resign over a disagreement over the agenda. One meeting agenda. Bad form and another bad omen for our KCK schools. As the community, let’s collaborate with the staff and as many of the board members as are willing. Dr Winn please reconsider and work FOR our students!
